ROOT CANAL TREATMENTS

Named also the tooth savers, the doctors specialized in Endodontics, perform, with the help of the dental microscope, the canal treatment with the role of rescuing a natural tooth that suffers from a deep cavity and whose internal structure is infected and inflamed.

By treating the canal under the microscope, the dentist extracts the nerve and dental pulp that are severely damaged, cleans and sterilizes the inside of the tooth, and the natural tooth is saved from dental extraction.

After the canal treatment, the natural tooth will be protected by a prosthetic piece (glass pivot and Emax or Zirconium dental crown) to avoid retreatment.

HOW LONG IS THE ROOT CANAL TREATMENT PROCEDURE?

Usually, depending on the degree of infection infection, endodontic treatment can be performed in one, two or maximum 3 sessions in the cabinet. It is a simple procedure, it is performed precisely with the help of the microscope, and the patient does not feel discomfort or pain in the affected area.

There are situations in which, due to the fact that the infection has severely affected the dental pulp, the patient will experience a deaf pain after the completion of the procedure, but that disappears within a maximum of 7 days after the intervention.

Also, if the treatment is not performed with the utmost care, there may be areas where the bacteria are not completely eliminated and the infection may return with the same set of problems.
